Exhilaration
I finally got to work on my new curriculum today and while it's a giant puzzle I'm going to have to create pretty much out of thin air, I left work so excited to be finally doing what I've been wanting to do for such a long time. It was great to be soo energized. I think this is a good sign I'm in the right field. :)

Olympics
I've been busy watching the Olympics. It makes me feel like a little kid again when you are filled with the dream of wanting to go to the Olympics but realize you have no exceptional talent in any of the sports. It is still fun to watch and I would love to be able to attend an Olympics, winter or summer, sometime. Maybe some day before I die I will be able to do that. On to another part of watching the Olympics. The athletes have awesome bodies. I just watched womens sand volleyball and May and Walsh, damn. I would love to have a body like that, but then again who wouldn't.
Also, I've seen the Bud commercial where the horse is trained by the dog a couple of times with the Rocky song playing in the back. What can I say, it's a good commercial and I do love that there's a dog in it, eventhough it is a dalmation and those are extremely hyper dogs. And not supposed to have too many spots or else they can't be shown. It's odd to say the least. Anyways, back to the Olympics and cleaning. What an enthralling combo. :)

Finally, a deer!
Tonight as I was driving home I had given Max a drive and for a split second looked at him and then right as I looked back at the road there was a deer about 15 feet ahead of me waiting to see if it was safe to cross the road. Needless to say it scared the hell out of me and it made me laugh at the same time. I haven't seen any deer at all since moving to Nebraska. I was so used to seeing them all the time in Iowa that every time I've been driving for the last few weeks I've been looking for them and go figure the one time I forget to look I see one. But isn't that the way it always goes. No deer hit all is good.

oh boy
This weekend was nice and relaxing. I went to some saline wetlands nearby to see what I could find to photograph. I found two new species of birds I haven't seen before which was exciting. On the other hand I got bite about three more times tonight when I took Max out. Needless to say not scratching my legs is getting really really hard for me right now.
Other news around here - went to Runza (I guess it's a local thing) it was different, meat with cabbage and enclosed in a bread bun of sorts - saw a ton of pretty flowers at the sunken gardens - look at skeletons of elephants and wooly mammoths at the natural history museum - that's a quick list of some of the things I've done over the last month.

dog shows
I find myself drawn to dog shows if they are ever on TV and this was even before I was even showing in them. Right now there is another one on and I love to see all the breeds. It makes me wish I had so many different types of dogs. There are a few which are always my favorites - tibetan terrier, bearded collie, old english sheepdog. Does anyone else see a trend with these breeds? If you don't know what it is I'll let you figure it out by looking up the breeds. I'm sure most people aren't familiar with a tibetan terrier but I am surprised every now and then. Anyways, I also love really really big dogs like the english wolfhound, mastiffs (all of them), bouvai (ok so I can't spell that one but it's a pretty big black furry dog). Oh to only have tons of land and be able to handle dogs like Cesar Milan. I'm still working on the handling issue but we've grown leaps and bounds. Oh it's the bouvier des flandres (it's just so pretty and strong and on TV right now). Dog shows are very very addicting. :0)
