busy busy

Life has been insanely busy lately.  So this is just a quick note and nothing more.  I hope to have the new layout up soon.  I’m shooting for before Christmas, but who knows I may be eager with that date.  Only time will tell. :)

New layout time possibly??

I’m debating that it’s time for a new layout as I want a change.  So while I have a few I sort of like I haven’t really picked just yet which one I want to use.  So until I have more time on my hands which maybe a little while this guy will be stuck up.  Also, debating whether or not to get rid of the comments feature as I’m getting tired of all the spam, eventhough none of it ever shows up on my site. Ha to you stupid people for trying and no one else sees it and I don’t even read it myself.  I have too much time on my hands.

When a blackberry becomes a crackberry

I recently discovered crackberry.com and multiple other blackberry sites to downloads apps for my blackberry. While I’m still too cheap at this point to pay for any of them I have found some fun and some pointless (at least for now) apps to download.  I’ve got some local apps that find things to do in my city. Granted my city isn’t that large so whether this actually helps me is to be determined. Maybe in a big city it might help more.  I’ve also downloaded a game that I still can’t seem to beat.  Let’s see what else is there…quick access to facebook, twitter, seattle mariners, local weather, new themes, level, pandora and a money manager. Ifind I want many many more apps but will refrain as those cost money and I’m not sure I’m even going to use all the ones I’ve downloaded just yet.

As for downloads, I recently downloaded another theme for firefox.  It’s pretty cool. It’s a mario bros theme with all the characters.  It looks cool.  We’ll see how long I keep it before I decide to go in search of others.  Until then I am doing my best to not download all the cool stuff I want for now. Just need to be patient and all will be good.

Miss USA 2009

I am sitting right now watching the Miss USA pageant and while I’m not sure who will win just yet I can definitely tell who is not going to win. I’m amazed that some of these women are seriously lacking confidence as they walk the stage.  They need to own the stage if they want to win.  Let’s see they are about to pick the top 5.

North Carolina - stong competitor so far.

Arizona - pretty, a little stiff in her walk.

Utah - she looks very fake.

California - too hollywood.

Kentucky - not sure.

So I guess out of those I would lean towards North Carolina, Arizona and Kentucky.  Granted they can blow it or win it with the question round.  So to see who will win.  Question time.  Ok, so time for me to watch and Trump is annoying.

cool websites

I recently found two very cool websites. I am trying to take a better record of what I’m eating so that I can actually see what my body is running off of and I was wanting some kind of food journal online. I found a really neat one. You can put in your food info and it will break down the overall carb, fat and protein %s for the day. You can also put in activities and it will figure out what you base calorie burn is plus any activities you do during the day. It’s really neat everything you do on it for free. You can pay but I can handle a few ads while I’m entering in info and looking over things. So here it is for anyone who’s interested.

The other cool site I found had to do with my search for something to keep track of my runs including miles and pace amongst other things. While looking at different products such as a GPS watch, Nike+ system, and Timex I saw in a review a comment about a runner using a website and a stopwatch. So I decided to look up the site and it’s essentially MapQuest maps which you select the course you ran and it will give you the mileage and the elevation changes. You can even check out other runners routes around the city or any city for that matter. It can figure your pace based on your time and it is just neat to see all this stuff on one site for free. I tried it today while taking Max for a run/walk. He was a little excited to be out and I had to stop several times and wait for him to calm down so I have no idea how long it took, but I plan to try it again tomorrow with Max again, but this time I plan to time it, stopping for Max when I need to. Anyways, enough of that and onto the website.

Those are two very cool and useful sites for anyone who runs or just wants to keep a better track of what they are eating to better fuel their body. :)
